New Goal: $10,000 for an Accessible Van

Victoria is a vibrant 12-year-old with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease who now has the wheelchair she needs  but getting her safely in and out of a vehicle is becoming impossible.

 

The Current Reality:

Victoria’s mother lifts her 175-pound body in and out of their car 7 times every day for school drop-off and pickup, therapy sessions, medical appointments, and simply living life. Each transfer risks injury to both of them.

 

The Solution:

An accessible van with a wheelchair ramp would allow Victoria to roll safely in and out, maintaining her independence while protecting her mother’s health. After trading in their current vehicle, they need $10,000 to complete the purchase of an adapted van.
